[Waverly has had a bit of cider. After time being out of sorts and disoriented from her ghost adventures, the warm bubbly feelings from the cider are a welcome change of pace. She knows that the feelings aren't real and she'll probably crash hard when it's over but for now she's enjoying the fluffy cloud of light she's currently floating on.
Which is why when she spots Diana in the crowd, she darts to her side with a bright smile.]
Here I am. [Diana agrees, softening when she sees the familiar face—a face she's seen far too little of lately.] You seem to be enjoying yourself—I hope?
I think it is good. Because it means we'll always return to the middle. Things'll get bad for a while, but there'll always be a point where things'll be okay.
According to the lore, each of the Lords of Hell had their own schtick or sin. Lucifer was pride. Mammon was greed. I'd say that any other area has their own trappings to go with it.
I've met some good men. Not many, but there are rare diamonds that deserve to be treasured. The fact that the bar is so low in some areas ... definitely says something.

Which is why when she spots Diana in the crowd, she darts to her side with a bright smile.]
Diana! There you are.

[Which is a nice change of pace, even if it is Hell-induced. She holds up her mug of cider.]
I have a little help, but sometimes help is good.

[Diana offers a smile, softening the words. She's not here to judge—least of all now.]
You deserve a little peace and pleasure.

[Though the Earps are drinkers so "too much" can tend to be a sliding scale.]
I think the peace is coming. Though I probably shouldn't say that because that might jinx it.

[She rests her chin in her hand as she thinks it over.]
Something about coming back to the median, right?
no subject
A moment of peace.

I think it is good. Because it means we'll always return to the middle. Things'll get bad for a while, but there'll always be a point where things'll be okay.
[They'll have a brief chance to breathe.]

We could use some truly good news.
no subject
Yep. You do have a point there. We could use something better than another Mammon vacation.
[And she has a feeling that one of those probably won't be happening for a while.]

[Mammon and his demons were their own kind of unsavory. Still...]
It does make you wonder though, what else is out there. If there are other villages with other people.
They can't all be like this, can they?

[And Waverly is drunk, so Diana gets the treat of her elaborating:]
You know, for his ...
[And she makes a gesture involving a certain part of the male anatomy while giggling.]
no subject
No.
Wait.
Diana is still trying to do the math on this one.
Because.
...How?
no subject
I dunno. Men always build or buy massive extravagant things when they're trying to make up for a less than stellar penis.
[She's stereotyping wildly, but she's drunk so she thinks the stereotypes will forgive her.]

[Why did she spend so long with Champ? Why? Sex was so much better when the other person was actually good at it.]

My impression has been that it's not something you have much use for.
[Which is valid; they are entirely unnecessary for pleasure. Though, in Diana's experience, they can be fun.]

[She shrugs.]
I like both men and women. Though my taste in men has been highly questionable.
no subject
[Or maybe she just feels that way because she also likes both.]
I have sisters who would tell you that being attracted to any men implies questionable taste.
